The Municipality of Paphos is the first Local Authority in Cyprus to create a park for children with mobility problems.
The Mayor of Paphos Phaedon Phaedon signed the contracts with the contractor for the construction of the park, totaling 120,000 euros. Construction work will begin immediately and be completed within three months.
The Municipal Park "Ismeni Liasidou" will be created on the existing green space of Kavala Street and will be properly equipped to accommodate children with mobility problems.
The City Council decided to give the park the name of the late Ismeni Liasidou as a sign of honour and appreciation for the work and contribution of our late fellow citizen, who worked hard to improve the quality of life of children with special needs.
