In all cities, except Paphos due to an improvement in the situation with cases, rapid tests will be carried out for another day.
Mobile units are also transported outside urban centres to enable residents of more than one community to undergo an examination.
The programme is aimed at all citizens, especially and with priority, those employed in public service areas, distributors and frontline professionals.
Citizens will be informed of the result of their laboratory examination by text message within 24 hours, but also in writing, if they wish, by the mobile units within 30 minutes of sampling.
The Ministry of Health thanks the Local Authorities for their cooperation and assistance.
