PCR TESTS RESUME IN PAPHOS

 Filenews 23 November 2020

The PCR molecular examination in Paphos has resumed after the arrival of the consumables, and the process is expected to continue as normal tonight and will continue tomorrow, from 08.00 to 18.00.

The public turnout is high, as the process was interrupted for a while due to the lack of testing. The arrangement was made directly by the Ministry of Health with the delivery of consumables at this sampling point, in the former Pafiakos stadium.

Immediately after the shortage observed and the massive public turnout, the employees of the two mobile units of NIPD Genetics, which undertook to staff sampling stations, in the provinces of Limassol and Paphos to carry out COVID-19 tests on workers in the two provinces, contacted Nicosia and asked to be sent the tests.

It is noted that sampling for mobile workers will continue until 27 November and will take place from 08:00 – 18:00 also at the same site in two points of the former Pafiakos Stadium, in Paphos.

Employees wishing to undergo the examination should provide a valid Employer's Certificate in paper form, as well as an ID card or passport for verification of information.

The test subjects are also encouraged to complete the Sampling Form electronically in the link and to present it with them.

NIPD Genetics also invites citizens who come for sampling to wear a mask and observe distances.
