The updated epidemiological data were published by the Ministry of Health regarding the development of the coronavirus pandemic in Cyprus until 8 November. In the last 14 days (26 October - 08 November) 2,168 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded.
Until 8 November 2020, 5,854 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in the Republic of Cyprus, with 33 deaths due to COVID-19 (COVID-19 mortality: 0.6%).
• The cumulative incidence of 14 days of COVID-19 (14-day diagnosed cases per 100,000 inhabitants) is 247.5/100,000.
• In the last 14 days (26 October - 08 November) 2,168 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded.
o The median age of COVID-19 cases is 35 years (Intra-fourth-quarter range: 23-52 years), 49.5% is for women.
o Based on epidemiological history, 7.5% (n=163) are cases with a recent travel history, 85.8% (n=1.860) are for domestic transmission cases and 6.7% (n=145) are cases with an unknown epidemiological history.
Characteristics of new incidents
Among 2,168 CASES OF COVID-19 diagnosed as of October 26, 49.5% in women (n=1.073) and 48.5% in men (n=1.052). For 43 cases (2%), gender was not currently available.
By age groups: 343 infants, children and adolescents aged 0-17 (15.8%), 1,501 adults aged 18-59 (69.2%), 305 people aged 60 and over (14.1%), while for 19 people the information was not currently available.
The median age of all COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days is 35 years (Intra-fourth-quarteral range 23-52 years). The median age of adults (≥ 18 years) with COVID-19 is 40 years (Endo-fourth-molecular range 28-54 years).
Among the cases diagnosed in the last 14 days, 1,266 (58.4%) had a place of residence in limassol province, 213 (9.8%) in Paphos province, 351 (16.2%) in nicosia province, 173 (8.0%) in Larnaca province, 86 (4.0%) in the free area of Famagusta and 79 incidents (3.6%) british bases or residence in the change or there was no information available for them

33 deaths with underlying cause of coronavirus
Among people diagnosed with COVID-19 by 8 November, 33 deaths were recorded, with the underlying cause of COVID-19 disease (COVID-19 mortality: 0.6%). occurred in men and 13 (39.4%) to women. The median age of people with COVID-19 who died is 76 years (Endo-fourth molecular range: 68-82 years). Ten deaths were reported in the province of Limassol, nine in the province of Larnaca, seven in the province of Paphos, five in the province of Nicosia and two in the province of free Famagusta.
The median time from the date of sampling to the date of death from COVID-19 was 11 days (Intra-fourth molecular range: 5-18 days).
In the last 14 days 7 deaths were recorded due to COVID-19 (Mortality of 14 days due to COVID-19: 0.8 per 100,000 population).
Among those diagnosed with COVID-19 by 8 November, 43 deaths from each cause were reported (mortality from each cause in diagnosed CASES COVID-19: 0.7%). occurred in men and 14 (32.6%) to women. The median age of people with COVID-19 who died is 76 years (Intra-fourth-quarteral range: 68-83 years). Twelve deaths were reported in the provinces of Larnaca and Limassol, nine in the province of Paphos, five in the province of Nicosia, four in the province of free Famagusta and one death concerns the British bases or residence in alladapi or no information was available.
The median time from the date of sampling to the date of death from each cause in people with COVID-19 was 8 days (Intra-fourth molecular range: 4-18 days).
Ten deaths from each cause were recorded in the last 14 days in people with COVID-19 (14-day mortality from each cause in people with COVID-19: 1.1 per 100,000 population).
Nosilies
As of November 11, a total of 6.9% (n=401) of COVID-19 cases received hospital treatment. The median age of people hospitalized is 60 years (Endo-fourth-molecular range: 47-73 years). Hospital care was mainly for men (n=243, 60.6%).
The median age of people still hospitalized (n=66) is 66 years (Intra-fourth-quarteral range: 57-78 years) and 68.2% (n=45) is for men. 60.9% concern patients from Limassol province while 44 people (71%) reported underlying diseases.
ICU Hospitalizations
In total, 41 patients (10.2% of all nurses) were admitted to Intensive Care Units (ICU3). The median age of people admitted to ICU is 67 years (Intra-fourth-quarter range: 58-74 years). Patients in ICU are predominantly male (n=31, 75.6%).
On November 11th, six patients were in ICU. The median age of these patients is 69.5 years (Endo-fourth-molecular range: 64-72 years). 83.3% of cases involve men. Five out of six people (83.3%) who were in ICU had underlying diseases.
The number of patients currently in ICU per 100,000 inhabitants is 0.7.
Clinical Features
Of the 2,168 laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, clinical information is available for 93.4% (n=2.024), of which 30.7% (n=621) did not report any symptoms at diagnosis and 69.3% (n=1,403) reported at least one symptom.
Underlying diseases
Data on underlying diseases in people with COVID-19 in the last 14 days were available for 2,010 (92.7%) Cases. Of these individuals, 514 (25.6%) reported at least one underlying disease.
• By 8 November 2020, a total of 511,689 diagnostic tests (58,418.8 per 100,000 population) have been carried out. In the last 14 days 47,773 diagnostic tests (5,454.1 per 100,000 population) have been carried out.
