The Labour Ministry announced on Friday the mode of operation of nurseries scheduled to reopen on Monday in the framework of the easing of Coronavirus measures.
In an announcement, the Ministry said that it has decided in collaboration with the Health Ministry that as of Monday, June 29, 2020, state nurseries and nurseries operated privately or by NGOs may reopen but a minimum distance of two metres between children should be maintained in each room.
Therefore, the Labour Ministry added, the maximum number of 12 children per classroom that had applied so far is no longer in effect as long as two metres are maintained between children.
“Each owner / operator / head is called to adjust the number of children they can accommodate accordingly on the basis of this rule,” it was added.
“It goes without saying that for all other matters, the implementation of health protocols for the protection against Coronavirus shall continue. Our priority is the safety of children and staff at nurseries to prevent the spread of the virus,” the Ministry concluded.
