Health inspectors carried out 748 checks between May 11 and 15 regarding compliance with the measures and rules on hygiene for staff and clients that were introduced to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Checks focused on food and drink retail companies and catering establishments providing delivery/drive-through / take-away services.
Health inspectors issued fines for violations at five premises for non-compliance with the provision in the decree for mandatory Covid-19 tests for employees.

Checks will continue this week.
In mid-April the government had made it mandatory for staff working in the supply chain for food and drink to undergo coronavirus tests. It said the cost had to be covered by the employer, though the state had subsidised some tests.
The ministry had stressed that all businesses required by the April 15 decree to have their employees tested must do so.
