Taken straight from the Philenews feed 30/3:
Stricter measures are announced by the Minister of Health
As a consequence of the violations of the restrictions and the increase in cases, the Minister of Health has announced more stringent measures.
Only those who traveled for medical reasons or are students belonging to vulnerable groups will have the right to enter democracy without a certificate. And in these cases there will be restrictions. If necessary, the CG will charter an airplane.
In addition from tomorrow, 31 March at 6am:
It is forbidden to gather persons in any dwelling other than permanent residents [no visiting anyone else in their home].
It is forbidden to move any person from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM all days except for those holding a Certificate of Employment. [This is shown as a curfew from 9pm to 6am in Cyprus Mail so I think this is a typo and there is a curfew from 9pm to 6am!]
Any exceptional movement of any person (form B or SMS) can only be used once a day.
Form B will only be used by citizens over 65 years of age. All others will send SMS.
Retail businesses (supermarkets, groceries, mini markets, butchers, fish shops, bakeries, pastry shops, fruit shops, cellars) will remain closed on Sunday. But they can deliver.
The number of persons on board a vehicle shall not exceed 3 persons.
Increase in the out-of-court penalty to 300 euros.
Banks will issue recommendations to issuers of cards.
In addition, the Ministry of Health is studying online surveillance of those who have been identified as positive for Koronovirus.
With regard to consumables for health professionals, I was informed that Saturday will be the first big shipment of supplies from China to meet all the needs for the period in question and if necessary place a new order.
Over 200 people are examined daily by established health clinics. More on the action plan will be announced tomorrow by OKYY. Thanks again to the medical practitioners and I assure them that we will be with them and will not allow them to be exposed. I urge them to continue with the same dedication and the state will do its best to support them.
In conclusion, I would like to thank the donating companies.
Checking who is in each house will be carried out by neighborhood police officers.
The electronic surveillance plan is under study and if implemented it will be done with a wristband as it is done with the prisoners.
To clarify that the two incidents mentioned yesterday concerned persons who came from abroad and, instead of limiting themselves, came in contact with others, resulting in dispersion. They were not patients themselves.
The aim of the measures is to limit the spread of the virus and everyone should apply it.
