YELLOW WARNING FOR STORM TODAY -10am-5pm - Filenews 2/10
The Department of Meteorology issued a New Yellow Warning for strong storms on Friday morning, with the intense phenomena expected to initially affect the western half of Cyprus and then possibly the rest of the areas.
The warning is in effect from 10:00 am until 17:00 pm today.
"Isolated strong storms are expected to affect the area from time to time, initially the western half of the island and later possibly the rest of the areas. Hail is expected to fall in a storm while the winds will change and strengthen. The intensity of the rain is expected locally to exceed 35 millimeters per hour," it is characteristically stated.
