Kyneyirou: Increased interest from locals and foreigners
The president of the Real Estate Agents Registration Council, Marinos Kineyirou, said that the market continues to support the growth of the Cypriot economy, despite the peculiarities and challenges of the year.
"The increases in volume, but also in the value of transactions are very significant as they follow a very good year for the real estate sector, which was 2025," he noted.
According to him, buying interest from locals and foreigners remains increased, with indications pointing to a positive closure for 2026 as well. He also estimated that the increase in sales documents portends mobility in the market and the start of new projects in the coming months.
At the same time, he called on the public to be careful in choosing the persons they trust to buy or rent a property and to report cases of illegal real estate activity to the Council.
Limassol: 38.7% of the total value of transfers
Limassol maintained the first place in the value of transfers, which reached €1.44 billion, representing 38.7% of the pan-Cypriot total. During the nine months, 3,808 transactions were completed in the province.
