HOSTING OF GERMAN TRAVEL AGENTS IN PAFOS, CHLORAKAS, PEYIA AND POLIS CHRYSOCHOUS
As part of ongoing efforts to boost tourist arrivals from the German market and promote 'Destination Pafos' as a leading year-round destination, a prominent delegation of 8 German travel agents is currently being hosted in the region.
This initiative is being implemented through close cooperation with Louis Hotels, while the tours and coordination of the destination showcase have been undertaken by the Pafos Regional Board of Tourism (PRBT).
This visit provides an excellent opportunity for tourism professionals from Germany to experience firsthand the beauty, rich cultural heritage, unparalleled nature, and upgraded infrastructure offered by the Paphos district.
As part of the hospitality program, PRBT has organized an extensive itinerary:
Wednesday, October 21: The German partners will participate in an excursion through the rural areas of Paphos. The tour begins with a visit to Kathikas village and the Flora and Fauna Museum, followed by Ineia village to visit the Lara Turtle Museum and the Basketry Museum. The next stop includes the Baths of Aphrodite—the Goddess of Love and Beauty. Afterward, a lunch will be offered at a coastal restaurant in the area, courtesy of the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous. This will be followed by a short visit to the Marion-Arsinoe Archaeological Museum, before returning to the hotel via a scenic route along coastal and rural areas.
Friday, October 23: The program will conclude with additional tours and meals. It features a visit to the Birthplace of Aphrodite (Petra tou Romiou), Paphos city center, the Yeroskipou (Ierokipia) coastal front, and the Archaeological Park of Kato Paphos, providing a further opportunity to discover the destination and its available experiences. Lunch will be offered at a nearby restaurant featuring traditional culinary creations, offering another authentic taste of local hospitality.
This initiative reinforces the importance of partnerships between the private and public tourism sectors, with the ultimate goal of further promoting our tourism product, upgrading the destination's image and recognition, and opening up new prospects in strategically important markets of Central Europe.
