From September 30, 2026, all citizens will first have to log in to CY Login to be able to see the prices published in the Retail Fuel Price Observatory. This change essentially requires registration in CY Login to access information that until now was easily available.
Let us explain that in the Observatory of Retail Fuel Prices, fuel prices are published daily, average price, lower and higher, with the data relating to both prices per province and per gas station.
The decision, however, raises questions, as citizens, professionals and other interested parties should connect through their personal codes every time they wish to check the prices that apply. Even those who already have a CY Login profile will now have to log in from any device they use to access the service, while until now the relevant information was immediately and easily available regardless of device.
What the Consumer Protection Service says
The Consumer Protection Service also informs about the relevant change, stating that access will be made through the CY Login service. As he explains, the change is part of the digital transformation of government services and aims to provide modern, secure and easy-to-use digital services to citizens and businesses.
