40 PEOPLE RESIDING ILLEGALLY IN CYPRUS WERE REPATRIATED - Filenews 31/10
Forty persons who resided illegally on the territory of the Republic of Cyprus were repatriated yesterday, as part of the efforts made to combat illegal immigration by the Police – YAM and the Deputy Ministry of Immigration.
The Police continues to focus its efforts on maximizing the number of repatriations of third-country nationals residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus, in coordination with other competent Services.From the beginning of the year until today, a total of 8,101 persons who resided illegally in the Republic have been removed, through the procedures of forced and voluntary return.
In terms of irregular arrivals for the year 2026, 1,480 irregular migrants have arrived illegally.
