PAFOS REGIONAL BOARD OF TOURISM ENHANCES ACCESSIBILITY
The Pafos Regional Board of Tourism (ETAP) takes yet another step toward realizing its vision: establishing Destination Pafos as an accessible, smart, and sustainable holiday destination.
With a human-centric approach ensuring equal enjoyment of the destination and its experiences, the tourism board announces the completion of its investment and introduction of eight (8) specialized floating wheelchairs, designed to offer safe water access for individuals with mobility challenges.
This initiative is part of the region's broader strategy, aimed at upgrading accessibility and the overall travel experience.
In a symbolic and meaningful gesture, The Tourism Board delivered the eight new units to the Local Authorities, strategically strengthening key areas across the region:
• Municipality of Paphos: 1 wheelchair
• Municipality of Ierokipia: 2 wheelchairs
• Municipality of Akamas: 2 wheelchairs
• Municipality of Polis Chrysochous: 2 wheelchairs
• Chloraka Community: 1 wheelchair
The strong collaboration between Local Authorities and the tourism board forms the foundation for creating a modern hospitality model. By investing in accessibility, we are not merely upgrading Paphos tourism product; we are strengthening our destination, international image and putting the values of social equality, inclusion, and respect for every citizen and visitor into practice.
