The General Accounting Office of the Republic has launched three new digital services to change the bank account to which state salaries and pensions are paid.
According to an announcement by the General Accounting Office, the services are available from today, Thursday, through the government portal gov.cy.
Active and retired state officials and employees, as well as hourly paid government staff, have the right to use.
Beneficiaries can electronically submit a request to change the IBAN number to which they wish their salary or pension to be paid from now on.
The requirements for changing IBAN
In order to submit the request, a verified CY Login account and a photocopy of the bank account or a relevant certificate from the bank are required.
The document should indicate:
The name of the bank and the branch
the account holder or beneficiary
the international bank account number (IBAN)
The new services are available in the "Salaries and Pensions of Government Officials, Employees and Hourly Paid Government Personnel" section of the gov.cy.
They were developed in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, with the aim of simplifying and digitizing procedures, upgrading service and limiting the use of paper documents.
