The police continue the investigations to identify the perpetrators of the unprecedented attacks in the early hours of Saturday in ten different properties in Paphos.
According to information, the white motorcycle that seems to have been used by the young people during the attacks has been located. The motorcycle was stolen that same night. Members of the force examined the machine and received various items which have been sent for scientific examinations.
Meanwhile, a police spokesman, responding to the criticism of the mayor of Paphos, indicated that the beacons in the patrol cars are not lit to warn the illegals but it is a specific provision of the force in the context of the effort to prevent crime.
He also said that in the Mouttalos district, only on Friday night, extensive checks were carried out, 69 complaints were made, two vehicles were detained while three persons were arrested, two for possession of small amounts of drugs and one for possession of offensive instruments.
Police operations, he concluded, are carried out daily.

A fight between young Greek Cypriots took place in the early hours of Saturday in a bar in the Polis Chrysochous area.
A young man was injured by a bottle he received in the head. He was transported and is being treated in the hospital.
Two young men from a village in the Polis Chrysochous apartment were arrested yesterday for the case, who are expected to appear today in the Paphos court for the issuance of detention orders.

A fire broke out in the early hours of Monday in two motor vehicles in Dali, in the province of Nicosia, causing extensive damage, while a third vehicle was also affected by the heat.
According to the Fire Service, the call was received at 03:32. One of the two vehicles was parked on a public road and the second in a covered garage of a house.
The Acropolis Fire Station "Sergeant Spyros Ttantis" responded to the scene with two fire trucks, with the fire being brought under control at 04:02.
The two cars were completely destroyed by the fire and a third vehicle parked in the garage suffered extensive damage.
According to the Police, from the first examinations it seems that the fire was set maliciously.
The Police arrested 14 people for various offenses during nationwide preventive operations on Sunday night.
The arrests concerned, among other things, cases of illegal possession of drugs, illegal stay in the Republic, traffic offenses, as well as drunkenness and agressiveness.
As part of the organized patrols, 746 vehicles were stopped for inspection and 997 occupants were checked. At the same time, 51 inspections were carried out in premises, from which 12 complaints emerged.
During the traffic checks, 357 complaints were made about various violations, while 20 more relevant cases are being investigated.
Of the total number of complaints, 128 concerned exceeding the speed limit, while 20 vehicles were detained.
There were also 146 alcohol tests, which resulted in 11 complaints. Out of five preliminary drug tests, three had a positive result.
The Police states that operations to prevent and suppress crime continue daily, with an enhanced presence and targeted controls.

Regarding a case of robbery and assault causing actual bodily harm, which was committed on 18/08/2026 in Paphos, testimony and consequently a court arrest warrant were secured, against a 34-year-old third person.
The 34-year-old was arrested yesterday and appeared before the Paphos District Court today, which issued a four-day detention order.
The other two persons arrested in the same case are still in custody to facilitate investigations.
The Paphos TAE continues the examinations.

A woman suspected of killing her husband while he slept was ordered to be held for three days on Sunday in the occupied areas after surrendering to “police”.The case has attracted widespread attention, with a “police investigator” telling the “Nicosia district court” that the killing took place at around 10.30 pm on Saturday in Gerolakkos.
According to what was presented in “court”, E.T. killed her husband, T.I.T., while he was asleep in their bedroom, stabbing him several times in the neck, waist and back with a folding knife with an 11-centimetre blade that she had taken from the kitchen.
The “police investigator” said E.T. committed the crime because she believed her husband was going to steal her belongings.
The “judge” granted the “police” request for a three-day “detention” order and also ordered that the woman undergo medical examinations.
