The heavy rains also created problems in air traffic on our island.
According to information from Filenews, due to the bad weather, planes avoided approaching our island, as a result of which at least 11 flights were diverted.
Specifically, the first flight was from Denmark in the direction of Paphos, but eventually ended up in Rhodes. Another ten that were due to arrive at Larnaca airport, from 12:00 to 13:30, diverted to Paphos, Rhodes and Lebanon.
