As part of the actions of the Aliens and Migration Service (Y.A.&M) to locate and arrest persons residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, an operation was carried out yesterday in the province of Larnaca.

During the operation, a total of 48 third-country nationals, who were illegally residing in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, were located and arrested.

Fourteen persons have already been deported – repatriated, while the remaining 34 have been transferred to a place of accommodation, where it is expected, in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Cooperation, that their repatriation procedures to their countries of origin will be launched.
