YELLOW WEATHER WARNING TODAY - 11am to 5pm - Filenews 13/7
The Department of Meteorology issued a yellow warning with the maximum temperature expected to rise to 40 degrees Celsius in areas of the interior.
The yellow warning comes into effect today from 11:00 a.m. on Monday until 17:00 p.m. on the same day.
The weather in detail
Seasonal low pressure affects the area.
Today the weather will be mostly clear. The winds will be mainly southwest to northwest, initially light 3, gradually light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the south in the afternoon strong 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough. The temperature will rise to around 40 degrees inland, around 31 on the southwest and west coasts, around 34 on the rest of the coasts and around 30 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be mostly clear, however later temporarily increased low clouds are expected on the coasts. Winds will be mainly southwest to northwest light 3 and initially locally to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 21 degrees inland, around 23 degrees on the coast and around 19 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be mostly clear.
The temperature until Thursday will not change appreciably, to remain above the average climatic values.
