RECALL OF BATCHES OF MEDICINE - REMETHAN

RECALL OF BATCHES OF MEDICINE - REMETHAN  - Filenews 1/7

Remedica Limited is voluntarily recalling specific batches of the drug Remethan 100mg Extended-Release Tablets, as part of preventive actions related to results outside the predetermined limits in stability studies of the product.

In a statement, the company clarifies that the recall is purely preventive and, at this stage, there is no cause for concern for patients.

However, those who receive this medicinal product are asked to contact their treating physician or pharmacist in order to be informed about the continuation of their treatment with available alternative preparations.

Remethan 100mg is a prescription-only nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain, inflammation and swelling in joint, muscle and tendon conditions, such as tendonitis, rheumatoid arthritis, fractures and dislocations.

At the same time, it is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with dental and minor surgeries.

Recalled lots have expiration dates from September 2026 to November 2030. According to the company, stocks are likely still available only in batches 116856, 122934 and 127806.

Remedica notes that if new evidence emerges from the investigation of the case, additional announcements or further actions may follow. At the same time, it reiterates that its main priority remains the protection of the health and safety of patients.
