With the General Access/Classification Grade in hand, the candidates who sat the Pancyprian Examinations, started yesterday to submit their computerized form to claim places in the universities of Greece. The Examinations Service of the Ministry of Education announced yesterday the grades needed by those interested in this process, around 11:00 a.m. and at the same time opened the electronic platform for submitting applications.
The electronic submission of applications for a position at the Universities of Greece will be completed on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. And as it is emphasized, after the above deadline has passed, the electronic platform will be locked and it will not be possible to accept any late applications. This is because the data should be forwarded within specific time frames to the Ministry of Education of Greece, which is responsible for allocating the positions and announcing the results, which are expected around the end of August.
All instructions, details and information, as well as the documents required for enrollment in Greek universities, can be found on the website of the Examinations Service (https://www.moec.gov.cy/ypexams). Interested parties are reminded that they can select in order of priority up to 20 Faculties/Departments from a single Scientific Field, which correspond to the Valid Access Frameworks they have declared when submitting their application to participate in the Pancyprian Access Examinations 2026.
It is also noted that during the period of electronic submission of applications (including this weekend), the Examinations Service, from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., there will be a call center (22582933/22582934) to support those interested and which will also be staffed with Counseling and Vocational Education teachers to provide educational counseling to candidates.
Regarding how the candidates will fill in their computerized forms, the career guidance and studies consultant, Kyriakos Kleanthous, emphasizes that they should choose with their preference and not with their assessment of where they can and where not because of grade. As Mr. Kleanthous told "F", it is important that candidates put the subject of study they themselves want and exhaust it in all the cities where it is offered, adding that they should not rely on data and numbers of previous years. "The Pancyprian Exams are not the end of the world, nor is it the only choice of a young person. It's just an examination. Many solutions, will and correct information are needed," said Mr. Kleanthous.
The flow of bookings at the universities of Cyprus is large
In the meantime, the process of booking the places already secured by the successful candidates of the Pancyprian Examinations, continues normally at the University of Cyprus and the CUT. Regardless of whether they will claim positions in Greece as well, the successful candidates can keep their place in Cyprus and decide later.
As the head of the Studies and Student Welfare Service of the University of Cyprus, Kleanthis Pissarides, told "F", so far about 50% of the successful candidates have kept their position, a percentage that will increase over the weekend due to the fact that the national guardsmen who have succeeded will have a license and will also be able to do the process, which ends next Tuesday. For a second allocation, more than 800 applications have already been submitted, while at the same time the applications of the special criteria are also "running". On Wednesday at 07:30 p.m. An information event will be held on the University Campus for new students to get to know the university and their faculties.
There is also a flow of reservations at CUT, according to the head of the Studies and Student Welfare Service, Vassilis Protopapas, who stated that the process ends on Monday. Applications are also being submitted for a second allocation and special criteria, while the CUT has already held an online briefing in which the participation was massive.
