Unsolicited emails with the logo of the General Accounting Office ask for verification of the recipient's personal information and bank account details under the pretext of paying ATA, warns the General Accounting Office.
The Service draws the attention of citizens to such messages, which aim to steal the bank account details of unsuspecting citizens and urges those who have received such messages to ignore them.
It is also emphasized that any communication of the General Accounting Office of the Republic with citizens through e-mails is carried out only through e-mail addresses, which end in @treasury.gov.cy.
