DEFA’s BOARD OF DIRECTORS WITH A ''PAPHITIAN FLAVOUR'' - PISTENTIS AND SOLOMOU ON THE NEW BOARD - Pafos Press 3/7
The Council of Ministers proceeded with the appointment of the new Board of Directors of the Public Natural Gas Enterprise, according to what was announced by the Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letymbiotis.
In statements made yesterday after the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Letymbiotis stated that the decision was taken in accordance with article 3 of the Law on Certain Legal Entities of Public Law, which concerns the appointment of the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Members of the Board of Directors.
According to the decision, the new Board of Directors of DEFA will be composed of Georgios Pistentis, who is appointed Chairman, and Paris Konstantinou, who assumes the duties of Vice Chairman.
The following members of the Board of Directors are appointed: Thomas Sepos, Konstantinos Danos, Kyriakos Stylianou, Dr. Nikos Solomou, Konstantinos Pittas, Andreas Zachariadis, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, and Kyriakos Iordanou, Director General of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry.
The decision of the Council of Ministers marks the beginning of a new period for DEFA, in a period in which energy and natural gas issues are high on the agenda.
