DEATH OF TWO BROTHERS IN XYLOFAGOU - THE TRANSFER OF THE BODIES TO BULGARIA AT THE EXPENSE OF THE STATE

DEATH OF TWO BROTHERS IN XYLOFAGOU - THE TRANSFER OF THE BODIES TO BULGARIA AT THE EXPENSE OF THE STATE - Filenews 1/6 by Natasa Christoforou

The state undertakes the transport of the bodies of the two children, 8 and 10 years old from Bulgaria, who were found dead in a car in Xylofagou on Sunday afternoon. Government sources informed Filenews that the transfer will be done at the expense of the state.

It is recalled that the Xylofagou Community Council, as its president, Giorgos Ioulianos, had previously stated on our website, had the intention of starting a fundraiser tomorrow to raise money for the return of the children's bodies to their country. "We have been contacted by many people who want to help," he had said, noting that the issue will be discussed at tomorrow's meeting of the Community Council.
The horrific issue of the death of the two boys, which has taken on international dimensions, continues to shock the whole of Cyprus, with the British Bases conducting examinations to shed light on all aspects of the case. The two children, accompanied by their relatives, had arrived in our country around mid-May to go on vacation with their father, who works in our country.

As Filenews revealed earlier, a fault was found in one of the vehicle's doors, in the back, which remained unlocked, despite the fact that the car was locked. From there, the two unfortunate brothers succeeded in entering, who, however, seem to have locked themselves in the car and were trapped in it, since the child lock was also activated.

The 30-year-old father of the children, as well as his 38-year-old partner to whom the vehicle belongs, have been arrested for the case. The British Bases will decide, within the day, whether they will both be brought before the Court of Dhekelia tomorrow or whether only the father will appear.
