Cosmetic products have been withdrawn from the European market, according to the Pharmaceutical Services.
According to the announcement, the Cosmetics Business Unit of Pharmaceutical Services received information, through the Business Alert Gateaway, about the withdrawal of cosmetic products in Europe, and the Pharmaceutical Services invite consumers who may be in possession of these products to stop using them or in case they detect them, to contact the Pharmaceutical Services by phone at 22608606, 22608682 and 22608689.
The recalled cosmetic products are as follows:
Cosmetic product under the trade name: 'TVLV, Dual-Ended Concealer & Foundation Stick' Barcode: 78080405740 – China – The product has been withdrawn due to the fact that according to its labelling it contains the substance octamethylcyclotetrasiloxa ne (cyclotetrasiloxane, D4), which is prohibited from being contained in cosmetic products. The product does not comply with the provisions of the European Regulation on Cosmetics (EC) 1223/2009.
Cosmetic product under the trade name: "Smilekit, Teeth Whitening Pen" Barcode: 15574335106 – China – The product has been withdrawn due to the fact that it contains hydrogen peroxide, in a concentration higher than the permitted concentration. The product does not comply with the provisions of the European Regulation on Cosmetics (EC) 1223/2009.
Cosmetic product with the brand name: "Melao Isolation Sunscreen SPF 50+" Barcode: HE472036sb260116125873859191074 – China- The product has been withdrawn, as the sun protection index (SPF) is lower than that indicated on the product label. The product does not comply with the provisions of the European Regulation on Cosmetics (EC) 1223/2009.
Cosmetic product under the trade name: 'Welsunde, Toothpaste' Barcode: 71249795765 – China – The product has been withdrawn as the presence of the substance methylparaben, which is not listed in the list of ingredients of the product, has been detected. In addition, the product has not been notified to the European Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP). The product does not comply with the provisions of the European Regulation on Cosmetics (EC) 1223/2009.
Cosmetic product under the trade name: 'WELSUNDE, Toothpaste' Barcode: 13654554454 – China – The product has been withdrawn due to the fact that it was found to contain the substances salicylic acid, methylparaben and benzoic acid, which are not listed in the list of ingredients of the product. In addition, the product has not been notified to the European Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP).
