The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for storms in the mountains and in areas in the interior of the country. The warning is valid from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. today.
As reported by the Department of Meteorology, isolated storms are expected to mainly affect the mountains and areas in the interior.
It is also reported that hail is expected to fall during the storm, while the intensity of the rain is possible locally to exceed 35 millimeters per hour.
Weak low pressure affects the area.
Today the weather will be mostly clear but initially there will be locally increased low clouds or even sparse fog. In the afternoon hours, however, locally increased clouds will develop which are expected to give isolated rains or even a storm, mainly in the mountains and inland areas. Hail is likely to fall in a storm. Winds will initially be variable, light 3 Beaufort to gradually become southwest to northwest, light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient on the south coast, up to strong 5 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough. The temperature will rise to 35 degrees inland, 27 on the west coast, around 30 on the rest of the coast and 25 degrees in the higher mountains.
In the evening the weather will be mostly clear but locally there will be increased low clouds and in the morning hours it is possible to form thin fog, mainly on the coast and inland. Winds will blow northwest to northeast and on the north coast southeast, light 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to 18 degrees inland, around 20 on the coast and 16 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the weather will initially be mostly clear but in the afternoon hours increased clouds will develop, which are expected to give isolated rains or even isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and inland.
The temperature will fluctuate at the same levels, which are slightly above the climatic averages.
