THESE ARE THE 48 MOST DANGEROUS SPOTS ON THE ROADS - WHERE THE MOST TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS OCCUR - Filenews 3/6


The Police have identified more than 40 points on the road network, where there is an increased frequency of road collisions and in which they are taking the appropriate actions to protect road users. These points have already been mapped in the context of the continuous actions of the Police to improve road safety and take appropriate measures, with the aim of preventing road collisions.

The classification of each point of the road network as dangerous was made based on the number of road collisions, which were caused at each point/area, per year.
From the processing of the data for the years 2023-2025, it appears that 48 points have been identified in the entire road network, in which an increased number of fatal, serious and other road collisions are recorded, in all provinces.

A total of 19 points have been identified in the Nicosia district, eight in the Limassol district, 14 in Larnaca district, five in Paphos district and two points in Famagusta district, which are listed below:

At these points of the road network, the Police are taking increased surveillance and policing measures, with the aim of reducing the risk of road collisions. At the same time, all the competent services have been informed about the existence of these points, so that they can take their own actions and interventions that may need to be made.

At the same time, the personal responsibility of each driver for the safety of all road users is underlined. In every movement on the road network, every driver is required to show increased attention, drive responsibly and comply with the Highway Code.
