PAPHOS - MOBILIZATION AT THE AIRPORT FOR SPARKS IN AN AIRCRAFT GENERATOR - Pafos Press 6/6
The competent authorities at Paphos airport were mobilized on Friday afternoon, following information about sparks in a generator at the rear of the tail of a British Airways aircraft.
According to initial information, three fire engines immediately rushed to the scene, which were put on standby to deal with a possible fire on the aircraft.
This is a scheduled flight at 20.25 which was ready to depart from Paphos for London when the pilot noticed the problem, resulting in the plane being evacuated and immobilised for further inspection.
The authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
