A letter from the alleged "Ministry of Applications of Cyprus" was received by a citizen in Limassol, according to a complaint aired on the show "Alpha Good Morning".
As reported, the letter was found in mailboxes and is a case of fraud. Specifically, it informs citizens that the resolution of neighbourhood issues will be carried out through the "Rockup Messenger" application, which is proposed to be installed through QR Code scanning.
However, according to the complaint, by scanning the code, the user is allegedly taken to a page where he is asked to pay a sum of money.
It is noted that this is fraud and citizens who may receive this letter are invited to inform the Police immediately.
