The signing by the European Commission of the loan agreement of the SAFE Programme amounting to €1.18 billion. with Cyprus, announced the Commissioner for Defense, Andrews Koubilius at noon on Monday.
In a post, Commissioner Cubilius signs the loan agreement on behalf of the Commission, together with the Commissioner for Budget, Piotr Serafin. For Cyprus, the Agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos, as well as the Head of the Public Debt Management Office, Chrysavgi Chrysostomou-Lapathioti.
"Another member state on a steady path to strengthening European defence readiness," the Defence Commissioner said in a post. "Cyprus is already the 6th country to sign a SAFE agreement. Very soon, EU support will start to reach the armed forces and industry of Cyprus," he concluded in his post.
