Based on Article 17(1) of the Police Law of 2004 (Law 73(I)/2004), Mr. Themistos Arnaoutis, Chief of Police, with the approval of the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Kostas Fytiris, decided today to dismiss a probationary police officer, who had been arrested on June 4, 2026 after vials of anabolic substances were found.
On the occasion of this development, it is emphasized once again that phenomena of corruption, delinquent behaviour or abuse of power have no place in the Police Force and the fight against such phenomena is a top priority of the leadership of the Police.
