BRITISH BASES - TESTING SECURITY PROTOCOLS - THE MESSAGES SENT TO EMPLOYEES - Filenews 24/6
In the context of preventive measures and control of security protocols, the British Bases attribute messages received, on Wednesday morning, by staff and employees at the Akrotiri Bases.
Specifically, shortly after 9 in the morning, two messages were received from the British Bases, with the first calling on staff to check their workplace and inform about it in case of detection of suspicious objects. The second message called on staff to come for identity checks inside the buildings and any presence of unauthorized personnel.
A representative of the British Bases was asked to comment on the messages received and as stated in a relevant briefing sent to journalists "as part of the usual precautionary measures, security protocols are checked on a regular basis and this is what was tested this morning at Akrotiri air base".
