THE HOLY SYNOD ELECTED GRIGORIOS IOANNIDIS AS THE NEW METROPOLITAN OF PAPHOS - Filenews 26/5
The Chancellor of the Metropolis of Tremithous and Dean of the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus, Archimandrite Grigorios Ioannides, was elected by the Holy Synod as the new Metropolitan of Paphos.
It is recalled that the following four candidacies had been submitted in total:
Archimandrite Grigorios Ioannides, Chancellor of the Metropolis of Tremithous and Dean of the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus, Archimandrite Ioannis, Chancellor of the Holy Monastery of the Apostle Barnabas, Monk of the Holy Monastery of Trooditissa Sophronios and Chancellor of the Holy Metropolis of Paphos, Archimandrite Ioannis Theocharous.
