The first dog park of the Municipality of Latsia - Geri is a fact as it opened its doors for pets a few days ago.
In his statements to Filenews, the Mayor of Latsia - Geri, Christos Pittaras, stated that the park cost €80.000, with the Municipality's own resources.
The park is located on the border of the Municipality of Latsia – Geri with the Municipality of South Nicosia – Dali and, therefore, "can serve both municipal districts of our Municipality, Latsia – Geri", as well as municipal districts of other Municipalities.
It is open to the public from 7 in the morning until the evening hours, while it is divided into two parts. Specifically, one area accommodates small dogs and the other large dogs. "Those dogs that are under 10 kg go to another place and those over 10 kg to another place", explained the Mayor of Latsia - Geri.
In the park, according to Mr. Pittaras, there are toys that dog owners can use for their animals, garbage bins, bags, as well as a temporary parking lot right next to the park where it can accommodate up to 50 cars.
Mr. Pittaras stressed that as a Municipality they are proceeding with the creation of a similar dog park in the municipal district of Geri.
