Applications for the "Rent Against Instalment" plan start to be accepted from today, with the deadline for submission expiring on July 31, 2026.
As announced by the Ministry of Finance, applications are available electronically at the link: https://kedipes.com.cy/ plan-rent-for-installment-mtr/ and are submitted in printed form only at the district offices of KEDIPES.

In Cyprus, the "Rent vs Instalment Scheme" allows vulnerable households to rent properties while being relieved of their mortgage loans. The state covers the required rent, and after five years, the property can be repurchased at a favourable price below market value.
Additionally, the "Rent to Installment" scheme provides a social safety net for homeowners facing financial distress, allowing them to transfer ownership of their property to the state-owned asset management company, KEDIPES, while remaining tenants under a long-term rental agreement.
