The current school year may be officially coming to an end, but schools of all educational levels are not yet done with it.
Mainly with the evaluation issues and specifically, not with those that concern their students, but those that concern them. This is because, the school units will have to carry out an internal evaluation and develop a single improvement plan, based on instructions set by the Ministry of Education.
The internal evaluation process has been established in the context of the Regulations concerning the evaluation of teachers and educational work, both in Primary and Secondary Education.
Schools are invited to develop their improvement plan, which must include the initial diagnosis of needs, planning, implementation and monitoring, as well as the evaluation of actions, in order to capture the picture of the school year that is ending and to see where they should focus on the next one and what issues need to be emphasized.
For this purpose, a Committee for the Self-Evaluation and Development of the Single Improvement Plan is established. In the self-evaluation process, the relevant inspector has a guiding and supporting role, while a specific Guide for the Internal Evaluation of Educational Work has already been issued, which school units can use.
