Building on a tradition of quality and reliability of almost 26 years and taking advantage of the momentum created by the two highly successful events after the restart of the institution, the "Pafos Aphrodite Festival" offers the fans of the opera a special artistic experience this year.
According to an announcement by the organizers on September 4 and 5, 2026, as part of the 24th Pafos Aphrodite Festival, the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia, with the participation of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, will present in the unique space of the Medieval Castle Square of Paphos two performances of the popular romantic, comic opera "L'Elisir d'Amore" (The Elixir of Love) by Gaetano Donizetti.
The production is expected to provide audiences with a high-level artistic event, combining the charm of the Italian lyrical tradition with the enchanting atmosphere of the historic setting of Paphos Medieval Castle.
The Pafos Aphrodite Festival has been organized since 1999 by the company Pafos Aphrodite Festival Cyprus, whose sole shareholder is the Municipality of Paphos, and has established itself as one of the most important cultural institutions in Cyprus.
