A new contemporary stage approach to Donizetti's famous opera where the story is transferred to a symbolic post-apocalyptic world.
The production is an international collaboration with the participation of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia "Alexander Spendiaryan", the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and Distinguished Artists from Armenia and abroad. A spectacle with 150 contributors at this year's PAFOS APHRODITE FESTIVAL 2026.
The opera is conducted by Karen Durgarian, one of the most important conductors with an international presence in leading opera houses and symphony orchestras. For the past fifteen years he has been the conductor of the National Opera and Ballet of Armenia.
