PAFOS REGIONAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT PARTICIPATES IN SMART TOUR WORKSHOP ON 20/21 MAY IN FRANCE - Pafos Press 19/5
The Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company (Pafos Region Tourism Development and Promotion Company) is participating in the 3rd Steering Group Meeting and thematic workshop of the European project SMART TOUR – Smart Tourism, Smart Destinations, taking place on 20–21 May 2026 in the city of Perros-Guirec, Brittany Region, France.
The thematic workshop and the educational visit of the SMART TOUR project aim to enhance the interregional exchange of knowledge and policies around the development of tourist destinations based on data and digital tools.
During the meeting, the progress of the project, the actions planned for the rest of 2026, as well as thematic topics related to tourism statistics and indicators, as well as research and innovation in digital tools and services will be presented. At the same time, within the framework of the thematic workshop, partners will exchange good practices, experiences and policy tools that contribute to the sustainable development of tourist destinations.
The participation of ETAP Pafos is part of the continuous effort to strengthen the digital and green transition of the Pafos destination, promoting the area as a model of smart and sustainable tourist destination at European level.
The SMART TOUR project involves 10 partners from Italy, France, Germany, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Albania, Ukraine, Belgium and Cyprus. The program is co-financed by 80% by the European Union.
