LUKA ŠULIĆ — LIFE TOUR
An exquisite evening awaits the audience, where the magic of ancient architecture, the Mediterranean sunset over the sea, and the mesmerizing music performed by one of the finest cellists of our time will merge into one.
Artist
Luka Šulić is a virtuoso cellist of Croatian-Slovenian origin who captivated global audiences as a member of the legendary duo 2CELLOS. In 2011, their cover of Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson went viral on YouTube, opening the doors to the world’s largest arenas and stadiums. As part of 2CELLOS, Luka shared the stage with Sir Elton John, performed for millions around the world, and proved that the cello can sound as powerful as an electric guitar. In 2022, he завершил проект 2CELLOS and focused on his solo career.
Program
The evening’s program features an impressive combination of original compositions and iconic global hits, reimagined for cello. The audience will enjoy cover versions of Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are the Champions (Queen), Beethoven’s famous Moonlight Sonata fused with One, the fiery Csárdás by Monti, as well as “Winter” and “Summer” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. Alongside classical works and rock hits, original compositions from the album LIFE will be performed: Shine, Noir, Blue Heart, Pain, Dreamer, Blossom, Anima, Life, Phoenix, and Eternal.
Album LIFE
The album LIFE is Luka Šulić’s debut work as a composer and arranger, released on the Platoon label. Recorded together with the Czech Studio Orchestra under the direction of Jan Chalupecký, the album is filled with rich harmonies, majestic string arrangements, and a cello line of extraordinary beauty. Each track is a deeply personal story inspired by nature, family, and the kaleidoscope of life experiences. As part of the LIFE world tour, Luka has already performed in Ljubljana (sold out), Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sendai, Vienna, Milan, Barcelona, London, and Paris, as well as across North America — Toronto, Montreal, Boston, New York, Washington, and other cities.
