FIRST FEMALE MP ELECTED IN PAPHOS - NICOLETTA KONSTANTINOU - Filenews 25/5

The first female MP in its history was elected by the electoral district of Paphos. This is the candidate of the Democratic Alarm, Nicoletta Konstantinou.

Four seats emerge from the 2026 Parliamentary Elections: Two for DISY and Charalambos Pazaros (4,609 votes) and Nicoletta Konstantinou (3,608 votes), one for AKEL and Valentinos Fakontis (3,943 votes) and one for DIKO and Chrysanthos Savvidis (4,832 votes).




Who is Nicoletta Konstantinou

Nicoletta K. Constantinou was born in Paphos on 28/02/1986. She is a law graduate of City University London and holds an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law from University College London (UCL). In 2008 he completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the Inns of Court School of Law, City University London. Since September 2024 she is a PhD candidate at the Law Department of the University of Cyprus.

He works as a lawyer and teaches at the Law School of Neapolis University Paphos. She has been a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2009, an accredited mediator in civil, commercial and family disputes, as well as an approved arbitrator.
Her political activity began in her student years and continued in MAKI, the Avant-garde of the United Kingdom, NEDISY, the EMU and the Democratic Rally. Since November 2024 he has taken over the Migration portfolio at the Monitoring Council of the Government Work and is a member of the expanded Political Bureau of the Democratic Rally.

She is the daughter of the long-time DISY MP in Paphos Kostakis Konstantinou.
