From June 2026, the Municipality of Ierokipia will implement the campaign "Every week and a neighbourhood", bringing municipal services to every neighbourhood of the Municipality, allowing problems to be dealt with faster, without the usual bureaucracy.
The neighbourhood is the basic cell of a city. Everyday life is experienced in the neighbourhoods, which is why in the immediate future the presence of our Municipality in them will become more intense.
Specifically, the Mayor and members of the Municipal Council will circulate in the neighbourhoods, identify/record the needs and the municipal services will plan measures and intervene to solve the problems.
The program of the tour will be announced every Friday, so that the citizens themselves have the opportunity to participate in the whole process, highlighting the issues that concern them, through personal contact with the Mayor himself and the services of the Municipality.
From June, therefore, we will be present in every municipal district, in every neighbourhood, next to and close to our citizens to improve their living conditions, through works such as:
· Restoration of asphalt pavement damage.
· Repair of sidewalks.
· Enhancement of street lighting.
· Improvement of parks and playgrounds.
· Street cleaning and street washing.
· Cleaning of abandoned premises and open spaces.
· Removal of abandoned vehicles.
· Removal of nuisances.
