Cybersift's vision is to make cybersecurity accessible to everyone, in a way that maintains its essence and effectiveness For Brian Zarb Adami, CEO of Cybersift, a Maltese-based cybersecurity company with an international presence, the real challenge is not a lack of technology, but a lack of clarity. The value of cybersecurity lies in the ability to translate complexity into a clear picture, allowing organizations to understand their true risk.
In a world where digital environments are becoming increasingly complex, cybersecurity often remains an "invisible" issue for businesses, even when they have invested heavily in tools and infrastructure.
BRIAN ZARB ADAMI FOCUSES ON SOMETHING DEEPER: CLARITY.
He argues that the critical strategic decision that organizations are called upon to make is not only about having the right technology, but about understanding what really happens by turning complexity into a clear picture. An image that allows organizations to constantly know where they are and how they need to move.
In the text that follows, Mr. Adami answers Insider's questions on the broader issues of protecting businesses from the risks that undermine cybersecurity.
How did the idea for the creation of CyberSift start, Mr. Adami, and what was it that led you to the field of cybersecurity?
The starting point was not purely technological. Coming from the field of pharmacy and through my relevant experience, I came into contact with how sensitive and critical data is, especially in environments such as hospitals.
There it became very clear that the protection of information is not a theoretical issue. It is something that directly affects people, functions, decisions and the future of each organization.
At the same time, I found that, although the need was obvious, the cybersecurity approach was often complex, difficult to understand, accessible and also limited to specialized teams.
This created the need for something different.
That's where the idea behind CyberSift started:
How can you make cybersecurity more understandable, more applicable and meaningfully accessible?
Because since it concerns everyone, it should be able to be applied by everyone, in a way that is practical, understandable and adapted to the needs and particularities of each organization.
And that's exactly what our vision is: to make cybersecurity accessible to everyone, in a way that preserves its substance and effectiveness.
As an entrepreneur with experience in multiple ventures, what makes CyberSift different for you?
Each of my business endeavours has its own value and its own journey. In the case of CyberSift, though, there's something deeper. This is not just another company; It is an attempt to implement something that has a substantial impact and that is based on a vision that requires time, investment and consistency to realize.
Cybersecurity is an area that now affects all organizations, regardless of size or industry. This means that the solution cannot be limited or fragmented. At CyberSift, the vision for accessible and meaningful cybersecurity is not theoretical. It translates into real investments, technology development and, above all, partnerships that have a strategic role.
The strategic partnership with GO, the development of the model with Cablenet and the cooperation with ACE Networks in Cyprus, as well as any cooperation in the markets in which we operate, did not come about by chance.
They are part of a conscious effort to create an ecosystem that can support this vision in practice.
What do you think is the most prevalent misconception around cybersecurity today?
That insurance is something that can be "bought". Many businesses consider that once they have invested in tools or complied with their industry's standards and requirements, they are covered.
But the reality is more complex, since compliance is not the same as protection, and having many tools does not necessarily ensure the visibility that an organization needs. Often, what really happens is the creation of an environment where there is a large amount of data, but it is not connected to each other. And somewhere there the real risks are created. There is no single picture and without this picture, decisions are based on incomplete data.
We have more technology than we can effectively manage.
The problem is that technology often works piecemeal.
How this translates into CyberSift's philosophy;
From the beginning we wanted to do something very specific: to simplify cybersecurity without sacrificing value. On the contrary, simplification is what gives the value that organizations need today.
Our approach is based on the idea that security should be understood. Not only by experts, but by the organizations themselves. Because only then can you make the right decisions. In practice, this means turning complex data into clear, actionable information, which allows businesses to have a true picture of their risk.
In a field with so many solutions, what is it that differentiates you?
We're not trying to become "just another platform" or even a cybersecurity company. On the contrary, we are trying to unite what already exists. Most solutions today work independently. This creates complexity and ultimately confusion.
We see cybersecurity as a single ecosystem where data connects, makes sense and leads to understanding, and therefore value.
And that's where the concept of collective intelligence comes in. A set of messages and information, which, when properly combined, reveal the true picture of an organization's vulnerabilities.
How does this translate into practice, through the solutions and services offered by CyberSift?
At CyberSift, our philosophy is based on unified visibility, connecting exposure, detection and response within a clearer and more practical security ecosystem.
For example, through SENTIO, CyberSift's SIEM solution, organizations gain real-time threat monitoring, automated anomaly detection, and intelligent correlation, so they can identify real threats in a timely manner and with meaningful context behind each alert.
The goal is not to generate more alerts, but to reduce the "noise" and highlight what is really critical.
Similarly, through TUTELA, the Vulnerability Assessment and Exposure Management platform, organizations gain continuous visibility into vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, leaked data, phishing infrastructure and other external weaknesses that often go unnoticed.
At the same time, our solutions are supported by 24/7 SOC monitoring and specialized incident response support, so organizations have real support when they need it.

How has CyberSift developed to date and what is its position in the international market?
CyberSift is a Malta-based cybersecurity company with international operation, serving organizations globally, with a strong presence in markets such as Malta, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, and Greece.
At the same time, our team spans different countries, which allows us to support customers on an ongoing basis, covering different time zones and ensuring continuous operational readiness around the world.
In recent years, we have invested significantly in technology development and the evolution of our services, with the aim of offering a more meaningful approach to cybersecurity.
Why is Cyprus an important part of your strategy?
Cyprus is a market of particular importance to us, not only because of the high level of business activity, but also because it is a dynamic and demanding business environment with a strong regulatory framework.
The presence of international organizations and companies operating across borders creates increased demands, both in terms of compliance and in terms of real security. At the same time, as digital activity and connectivity are enhanced, exposure to cyber risks is increasing correspondingly – with attacks showing a steady increase internationally, especially in organizations that do not have full visibility of their environment.
This is shaping an environment where businesses are not just looking for tools, but solutions that give them a clear picture, control, and the ability to meet market demands, without additional complexity.
For us, the presence in Cyprus is part of a broader development plan, with the aim of creating a model based on trust, cooperation and practical application.
Through the partnerships we have developed, we seek to bring cybersecurity closer to the daily operation of businesses, making it more accessible, understandable and applicable.

What is the role of partnerships in your strategy?
Partnerships are a key element of our strategy and as shown by the model we have developed, each partnership serves a specific role – either in terms of infrastructure and connectivity, or in terms of implementation and day-to-day support.
What matters to us is that these partnerships work in a complementary way, creating a single framework within which security becomes simpler, more accessible and more meaningful for businesses.
At the end of the day, the goal is not to add more tools or more complexity. It is to help organizations gain a clear picture and be able to move confidently in an environment that is becoming increasingly demanding.
How do you see the cybersecurity space evolving in the coming years?
The cybersecurity space will clearly become more demanding, not only due to the increase in attacks, but also due to the increasing complexity of digital environments.
At the same time, however, it will move towards greater simplicity. Organizations cannot manage unlimited complexity, nor can they rely on approaches that treat security in the same way for everyone. Every environment has its own specificities, and when these are not taken into account, the essential support and flexibility that businesses need is lost.
The need for clarity, visibility, and meaningful understanding will become even more pronounced.
The value will not be judged by the number of tools, but by the level of understanding and whether the investment translates into real protection.
THE COOPERATION WITH GO AND CABLENET
Ioannis Mavridis, Chief Executive Officer – Cablenet.What is GO's role in the broader CyberSift ecosystem?;
Our relationship with GO is strategic and multi-layered. It originated in Malta, where GO—as the largest telecommunications provider in the country—chose to invest in CyberSift, recognizing the importance of cybersecurity as a key pillar of digital growth.
Today, this collaboration has already evolved into an integrated model, where connectivity and security work together, offering more substantial value to businesses.
For us, GO is a strategic ally that enhances our ability to develop solutions on a larger scale, consistently and with a long-term orientation.
How is this cooperation model transferred to markets such as Cyprus, through your cooperation with Cablenet?
The partnership with Cablenet is the natural continuation of the model we have already developed in collaboration with GO.
In Malta, connectivity and security are already integrated into a single framework, where businesses gain access to comprehensive protection through a trusted provider. This model has proven to deliver substantial value by reducing complexity and facilitating access to cybersecurity services.
The partnership with Cablenet connects connectivity with protection in a single, practical model.
What does working with Cablenet mean to you?
This cooperation reflects a broader change in the market.
Connectivity and security can no longer be treated separately.
As Cyprus accelerates its digital transformation, activity increases, but at the same time exposure to cyber risks. What we're seeing is that businesses aren't just looking for more solutions, but solutions that are practical, simple to adopt, and don't add extra complexity or cost to their operation.
Through this partnership, cybersecurity is directly integrated into the services that businesses already use, offering a more direct and accessible experience. Access becomes simpler, both at the adoption and management levels, without requiring additional complexity or expertise.
The essential thing is that protection ceases to be something remote or difficult to access and becomes part of an ecosystem that businesses already trust.
And that's at the core of our strategy: making cybersecurity visible, practical, and truly accessible for every organization, regardless of size.
What is the role of GO in this ecosystem?
GO offers the stability and scale needed to implement this strategy over time.
As an organization with a strong presence in the telecommunications and digital infrastructure sector, it plays a crucial role in shaping a model where connectivity and security work together, with the aim of creating simpler and more reliable solutions for businesses.
Its presence in both CyberSift and Cablenet creates a unified framework, allowing for the development of this approach with consistency and a long-term perspective.
In markets like Cyprus, this translates into investments with a clear direction – around simplicity, trust, and sustainable digital growth.
