WHEN WILL WE GET RID OF THE DUST? FORECAST FOR THE COMING WEEK - Filenews 20/4
The picture is improved, after the serious dust incident that hit Cyprus in the last 24 hours, as the concentration of dust in the atmosphere has been limited.
According to the data of the Meteorological Service, on Sunday morning the atmosphere in the southern and southwestern areas of the island began to clear, while the mountainous and eastern half remained at level 2.
Within the day and until the afternoon, the atmosphere gradually cleared in the rest of the island, while the forecast until Thursday does not present the possibility of a new wave of dust.
The winds contributed significantly to the removal of dust, as reported by an official of the Department of Meteorology, while locally the rainfall that occurred in the last two days also helped.
This coming week, isolated showers may occur only in the mountains, while the weather will be mostly clear, with daily temperatures around 21-22 degrees, just below 24, which is the normal average for the season.
