In the end, today, Friday (24/4), the file of the case of the double tragedy with the collapse of an apartment building on Aeschylus Street in Germasogeia was not forwarded to the Legal Service, as important developments are emerging.
As Filenews is validly informed, the investigative team of the TAE Limassol, which has been set up to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy, received instructions from the Legal Service in the previous 24 hours, so that new statements can be taken from the owners of the apartments of the apartment building and from the officials of the Limassol District Self-Government Organization. This time, however, the testimonies will be investigative. In other words, they will testify as suspects of criminal offenses.
With this in mind, these persons are expected to be questioned, as they are suspected of committing offenses. The instructions have been given in the previous 24 hours and are expected to cross the threshold of the Limassol Police Department.
This is a process, which will take a few days, as these persons may now be charged and have to give their own allegations and answer questions.
Then, after the process is completed, the file will be forwarded to the Legal Service for study and final decisions.
As we wrote in an article the day before yesterday, the investigators will make recommendations, taking into account the voluminous witness material at their disposal, which concerns the circumstances of the collapse and the tragic loss of the two victims.
