The play “Angelika Nikli Solomou, Transparent” by Periklis Moscholidakis is being performed for the first time in Cyprus, by the Lexi Theatre, directed by Marina Vronti, in a new stage version that transforms the original monologue into a poetic ensemble.
At the center of the performance is the figure of Angelika Nikli, mother of Dionysios Solomou. Through four presences – the woman she was, the young Angelika, the voices of society, but also the male figures who defined her life – a story of love, social crisis and memory unfolds.
The four presences compose on stage the fragments of a life, creating a polyphonic narrative, where personal history becomes collective memory.
“Transparent” illuminates the woman behind the myth and searches for her voice through time.
