Cyprus is also drowning in dust today, with the Department of Meteorology issuing a warning again about the strong episode with African dust. Hope that the atmosphere will clear is given by the rains, storms, snow and winds expected during the day.

The warning states that "the severe episode of African dust affecting the area is still ongoing today, while it is expected to gradually subside by the evening".

At the same time, our area is affected by weak low pressure, reports the Department of Meteorology.

Today, the weather will be cloudy, and local rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected. On the highest peaks of Troodos it is possible that snow or sleet will fall. Winds will blow later in the day moderate to strong.

The temperature will rise to around 20 degrees inland and on the coasts and 8 degrees in the higher mountains, while frost is expected to form in the evening.

On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, locally increased clouds will be observed, which at noon and early afternoon are expected to give local rains and isolated thunderstorms.

The temperature is not expected to change significantly during the three days and will remain slightly below the average climatic values.
