The Police arrested a third-country national, who is said to be the head of an organized ring that ensured the illegal entry of foreigners into the Republic.
The arrest came after evaluation and utilization of information and is part of targeted actions to identify and dismantle organized networks active in the field of illegal immigration.
In terms of operational results, in the last few days, the following have been recorded:
29/04/2026: 9 arrests, 5 deportations, 11 voluntary departures,
30/04/2026 : 12 expulsions, 43 voluntary departures
Scheduled departures (30/04 – 04/05/2026): 13 deportations, 32 voluntary departures
The operations continue with the same targeting, both in terms of returns and in identifying persons who organize or assist illegal entry and stay in the country.
