The Deputy Ministry of Shipping announces the inclusion of the cruise ship "Navigator of the Seas", of the Royal Caribbean group, in the Cypriot registry and the strengthening of cooperation between them.
According to an announcement by the Deputy Ministry, the "Navigator of the Seas", with a capacity of 140,000 TONS, is the second ship of the group to be included in the Cypriot registry, after the registration of the cruise ship "Spectrum of the Seas" in January 2023.
Following the Group's decision in 2023 to establish a permanent headquarters in Limassol, which is the centre of its maritime activities in the Eastern Mediterranean, it is added, the registration of the "Navigator of the Seas" confirms the Group's commitment and trust towards the Cypriot flag and further strengthens Cyprus' position as a reliable and competitive maritime centre.
The Deputy Minister of Shipping, Marina Hatzimanoli, expresses on behalf of the Government her warm thanks to Royal Carribean for the trust and substantial strengthening of the cooperation.
"The further strengthening of cooperation with the group is a clear sign of confidence in Cypriot shipping and the country's shipping policy, which continues to develop dynamically, strengthening its competitiveness and international presence," says Ms. Hadjimanoli.
