The annual Christodoula March, due to have been held on Saturday, has been postponed due to the forecast of severe weather, the Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society and the Bank of Cyprus said on Friday.
The decision was taken to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers and organisers, and to allow the event to take place under suitable conditions.
The march, which supports services offered free of charge to people with cancer and their families, has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 25, beginning at 3.30pm in all cities.
Organisers said the event remains a symbol of solidarity and support, sending a message that no person faces cancer alone.
