2026 ESSO DIGITAL CONSCRIPT DATA SUBMISSION PLATFORM OPENS 17 APRIL [UNTIL 3 MAY] - Filenews 8/4
The Ministry of Defense announces that as of April 17, at 12:00, the platform for the electronic submission of the 2026 ESSO Conscript Selection Information Declaration will be put into operation.
2. The platform will remain in operation until midnight (24:00 hours) on May 3, 2026 and the Declarations will be submitted through the Government Portal https://www.gov.cy, in the thematic section "Conscription" and following the route "Recruitment→Enlistment". In order to access the Government Portal, it is required to create a profile, as a citizen (natural person) and to identify him/her. Those conscripts who did not proceed with the creation of a profile and his identification are requested to settle it immediately.
3. The conscripts of the 2026 ESSO are invited to submit the Declaration of Information as well as the relevant supporting documents required, in order to register their desire, for the implementation of the selection and distribution process, in the Branches, Weapons and Corps of the National Guard, their placement in Units, as well as the selection of the Candidate Reserve Officers (Cadets) and the National Guardsmen who will be selected to serve in the Special Forces (Commandos, Military Police, OUK), in the Clubs – KAAY – STE, in the Technical Specialties, in the Cutting-Edge Technologies and in the Military Music of the National Guard (SMEF).
4. For the timely and better preparation of the conscripts and for their own convenience and benefit, they are asked to ensure that the following supporting documents are secured in advance in pdf, jpg, jpeg or png format, so that they are ready for their registration at the beginning of the process. Each attached supporting document should have a maximum size of 5MB.
Compulsory supporting document:
Certificate of vaccination status and blood type.
Optional supporting documents:
a. Certificates in case he/she belongs to one or more scoring categories. These certificates will be checked for compliance with the criteria in order to be credited with the corresponding points. Click HERE for the scoring categories as well as the supporting documents required for each case.
b. Bank account certificate (IBAN). The bill should be in the name of the conscript. In the event that the bank account details are not submitted to the electronic platform, they should be submitted on the day of their presentation for health examination and administration of the materials and items of clothing and footwear that takes place before the enlistment. It is noted that a bank account for a minor is created by the banking institutions if the conscript presents the enlistment invitation note which will be sent to his e-mail immediately after the submission of the Declaration.
c. Normal driver's license, front and rear.
d. In the event that a wish is expressed to claim a place in Technical Specialties, Clubs – KAAY – STE and Cutting-Edge Technologies, a corresponding certificate of qualifications must be submitted. Click HERE for more information.
5. Those conscripts who do not proceed with the submission of the Declaration of Selection Data within the specified deadline, will not have the right to claim a position for Candidate Reserve Officers (Cadets), Special Forces, Clubs – KAAY – STE, Cutting-Edge Technologies and Technical Specialties and will be placed in Units based exclusively on the service needs of the National Guard.
6. Those who submit the Declaration of Selection Data, through the electronic platform, will receive a confirmation SMS and a message in their e-mail, for its successful submission and the random lot number will be displayed on the basis of a special algorithm from the computerized system. Attachments, a copy of the Declaration, the Enlistment Invitation Note will be sent to the e-mail, which will also include information about the health examination and the provision of materials and clothing – footwear that takes place before the enlistment, as well as all the necessary forms that are required to be completed by the candidates for selection in the Special Forces, in order to be allowed to participate in the sports test.
7. It is recommended that the conscripts pay attention to the fact that the information that will be submitted through the platform and concerns the scoring categories, the selection wishes and the preference guard of the conscripts can be modified following an application by the conscript which is submitted by the conscript to the Selection and Transfer Directorate of the NGGS, via e-mail geefdemeo@army.gov.cy, no more than two (2) days from the end of the platform's operation. In any case, the change can only take place once (1) for each conscript.
8. It is noted that the enlistment of conscripts will take place from 6 to 10 July 2026.
